The Microsoft Office online login feature, which was launched in June, was designed to help users access files from outside their computer network, but many users have complained that it can be a hassle to set up and use.
Microsoft is making it easier for users to set it up with a new set of instructions that can be found in the Microsoft Help center.
The new instructions will only work with the Microsoft Online Passport.

Microsoft is introducing a new version of the Microsoft online login for Office online.
Here are the key points: Microsoft will now make it easier to set the online password for Office for the first time in the Windows Insider Program.
This is a first step towards making it more easy to use Office online, which will be available as an update to Office 2016.
Microsoft will continue to update the online authentication feature in a phased manner over time.
This means that you will need to enable it each time you access the online version of Office.
For example, to access the Office online version for the next release, you will have to enable online password protection for each time.
Users who have already used Office online will need a Windows Insider membership to download the new version.
If you have not used Office in a while, you should be able to sign in using a Microsoft Passbook.
This will allow you to access Office for Office Online and create a password for the online account.
This requires the password you have set for Office and a Microsoft Account, which you can use to sign up for the Microsoft Password service.
To set up a Microsoft Online passport for the Office 365 subscription, follow these steps.
Select the Office Online Passgate service in the list of services.
Select New Passport in the left navigation pane.
Enter your Microsoft Account password, which must be a combination of your email address and the Microsoft Account you use for your Office 365 service.
If your password is different, enter it separately.
Click the Save button in the navigation pane to save your changes.
Select Save for Office to open the online credentials dialog.
If everything is going well, you’ll see the new Microsoft Passports for Office app on your desktop.
If you are not signed in to your Office account, you can still create a Microsoft Password for Office by going to the Office app and clicking on My Passwords.
When you use the online Passport, the password for your account is automatically stored in the cloud.
You can retrieve your password from the cloud and use it at any time, or create a new password for an existing account.
You cannot use the same password for multiple accounts.
To set up multiple passwords for different accounts, you need a Microsoft account.
Microsoft recommends that you use multiple passwords, but it does not make it easy to set a different password for each account.
The same password can be used for all Office 365 accounts and for each user.
